Welcome to MeepleTown!
The origin of the site began with Christian’s personal blog. He has always been interested in tabletop gaming, from his early experiences with Dungeons & Dragons (long live the “red box”!) to modern Eurogames and beyond. As the local boardgaming community began to grow, the blog posts became more focused on the hobby. Thus, MeepleTown was born, with a focus on games and the gaming community.
Since then, we’ve collected a motley
crüe crew of contributors, each offering a unique view of the boardgaming world.
It should be noted that we’re not a news site, and we’re not a comprehensive database (if you even know what a meeple is, you should be familiar with BoardGameGeek).
We’re a collection of gamers who are absolutely obsessed with games, and more importantly, love writing about them. We’re proud to bring you editorials, game reviews, session recaps, interviews, and more. While there will probably be a slant toward Eurogames, our goal is to cover virtually everything that can be played on a tabletop — whether it’s a twenty-year-old Ameritrash miniatures game or a brand new release straight from the Essen game fair.
There are many ways you can follow the current happenings at MeepleTown. Whether you follow us via our RSS Feed, or on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll always be the first to know as soon as we post a new article. If you want to contact us directly, you can email Derek at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for stopping by. We hope you’ll stick around to see what we have to offer. Game on!
